Coach Jeff Goebel has been a CrossFit athlete since August 2012 when he received his Level 1 certification to instruct and teach others to do CrossFit. His focus is on teaching the core strengthening and functional movement aspects of CrossFit. His personal experience of competing in the CrossFit Games and as a former CrossFit Coach plus his own personal training business and his participation in many other sports has given him insight and knowledge of how to become a better athlete as well as a more efficient and functional human being.
Coach Goebel was voted Best Personal Trainer in Johnson City, TN. He is a certified Dolce Diet Coach, so he can better serve his clients with a nutrition plan specifically designed for them to achieve their health needs and goals.
He attended the Outlaw Barbell camp with Olympic weight lifter Jarod Fleming in order to be a better coach for young athletes who want to become stronger, more explosive and faster. By recognizing and ensuring his younger athletes use proper technique and form, they respond quickly to training and it cuts down on the potential for injuries.
Coach Goebel’s reason for becoming a personal trainer and his main focus comes from suffering a debilitating back injury. He understands that developing core strength is key to overcoming back pain and a sedentary life style. He wants to share his experience and knowledge with others so they are able to have a happy and healthier life. His desire to beat the depression, to stop the use of pain pills and eliminate the frustration of dealing with knee and low back pain, led him to want to share his knowledge of overcoming adversity through core strengthening, better nutrition, stretching and meditation through prayer.
